Types of Skilling Programs
- Short-Term Training (STT) SVYKS shall deliver structured short-term training programs that provide practical skills in diverse sectors, enabling quick employability and industry readiness.
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) SVYKS shall recognize and certify the existing skills of workers, ensuring that their experience is formally acknowledged and nationally portable.
- Reskilling SVYKS shall support individuals in adapting to changing technologies and industry requirements by offering reskilling opportunities that prepare them for new roles.
- Upskilling SVYKS shall provide advanced training modules that enhance the competencies of existing workers, helping them progress in their careers and meet higher standards of performance.
- Special Projects SVYKS shall undertake special projects in collaboration with government departments, industries, and communities, focusing on tribal, rural, and marginalized groups to ensure inclusive growth.
Institutional Scope & Functions
SVYKS, under the guidance of CSVTU is committed to building a comprehensive and sustainable ecosystem of skill development. Its scope shall extend beyond training delivery, encompassing certification, research, policy engagement, and consultation, all aligned with state and national priorities.
- State and Central Government Skill Schemes SVYKS shall be an implementing partner for flagship skill initiatives of both the State and Central Governments, ensuring outreach to diverse communities and alignment with national missions.
- Certification and Assessment All programs shall be conducted under NCVET-recognized frameworks, with rigorous assessment processes that shall guarantee credibility, transparency, and national portability of certificates.
- Act and Implementing Agency SVYKS shall function under statutory provisions, with CSVTU serving as the implementing agency to uphold institutional accountability and compliance with government acts and regulations.
- Research in Skilling Domain Continuous research shall be undertaken to identify emerging skill demands, future technologies, and innovative pedagogical approaches, thereby ensuring that programs remain relevant and forward-looking.
- Policy Review SVYKS shall contribute to the review and refinement of skill development policies, offering insights that shall strengthen frameworks and enhance their effectiveness for learners and stakeholders.
- Monitoring and Scheme Review Transparent monitoring mechanisms shall be established, with periodic reviews that shall measure impact, ensure accountability, and provide corrective feedback for continuous improvement.
- Consultation SVYKS shall extend advisory support to government bodies, industries, and institutions, offering consultation for designing skill strategies, frameworks, and collaborative models that empower communities.
